Saw The Mariners Rock photo and couldn’t resist adding this.

Served with curry gravy, mushy peas and tartar sauce.

    Sorry fork-haters.

Been there. It’s pretty decent. Skipper’s in Turriff is better imo.

Okay, as an American who could walk down the street and get my own ‘UK-style’ Fish & Chips, what makes this place so good?

Send them across the pond to the states that looks delicious

That green stuff looks like something that came out of an ox’s nose.

None of these come with near enough mushy peas.

  8. This is fact.
I still crave this exact meal from here after spending time in London in 2018! Mmm so good I’m tempted to the trip back just to go here again!
I do hope you also indulged in one of their warm chocolate puddings 🤤

In the states we (well, I) do fish & chips with malt vinegar. Tartar sauce is even more normal. I’ve been to the UK and the malt vinegar seems less of a thing there.

Went there a few years ago, was really good.

I would also recommend The Scallop Shell in Bath. It’s won loads of awards. Menu is fantastic.
